Telstra Direct
OVERVIEW
What started off as a company-wide challenge, ended up as a winning product idea.
The challenge was to create a new innovative product for Telstra (Australia's largest telecommunications company) and partnered with Auspost (Australia's leading postal service) that solves a big problem.
The ideas were limitless. Through thorough market research and prototyping, Telstra Direct became a top 3 finalist against over 200 applicants; and successfully achieved first place.

The Problem
Dropping off parcels at the post office is not
an efficient use of one's time, for everyday people and for small businesses...
How do we solve this?

Data research
Firstly, I performed data research into the e-commerce movement during the pandemic, to support the volume increase of parcel deliveries.
The Australian post annual report showed:
E-commerce grew by 31.8% in 2020/21 and
Domestic parcel delivery gew by 17.71%

Companies like Sendle, an online delivery service platform saw 1000% growth due to the delivery volumes doubling in 12 months throughout 2020/21.

Data was suggesting that fast, efficient and reliable delivery services became vital and consumers want alternative options to deliver parcels all from the comfort of their home.

The solution
Telstra Direct: A home Pick-Up delivery service for Telstra businesses and customers.

Protoyping
As a UX/UI designer, I utilized Figma, a powerful prototyping tool, to create a high-fidelity prototype of the Telstra.com website, enabling customers to seamlessly manage their deliveries.
With a keen focus on delivering a delightful user experience, I leveraged my design skills to bring the product idea to life through a visually engaging prototype video.
This approach proved to be highly effective in communicating the platform's capabilities to stakeholders, facilitating a clear understanding of the product's vision and potential impact.
